Williams, co-founder of Boston-based MedPharma Partners LLC, focuses on healthcare business and IT issues in his popular Health Business Blog. Williams interviews leaders in the healthcare industry, many of them health IT executives, for his podcast series. The series has recently featured patient safety pioneer Dr. Bob Wachter, Chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine at University of California San Francisco, Zynx Health CEO Dr. Scott Weingarten and PatientKeeper CEO Paul Brient.

Last October, Kumar joined San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's trip to Bangalore as part of the San Francisco-Bangalore Sister City Initiative to promote business and cultural ties between the two cities.
