Heart Internet named UKs 2nd fastest growing technology company

Nottingham, UK, Nov 04, 2009 - Web host Heart Internet (www.heartinternet.co.uk) has been named the fastest growing technology company in the Midlands and 2nd overall nationwide in this year's 'Deloitte Technology Fast 50', the UK's pre-eminent technology awards programme ranking the country's 50 fastest-growing technology companies.

Launched in 2004 by founders Jonathan Brealey and Tim Beresford, the company provides website hosting and domain name registration to individuals, SMEs and resellers. Jonathan believes that it is customer service that holds the key to the company's success, rather than pure technology "The reality is that customer service is expensive, and it's easy for businesses to think that there's a saving to be made there. However, that just drives your customers away. We have a great retention rate and are seeing a continuous influx of customers transferring from our competitors. Keeping us 'sticky' is critical to our success."

The business has been growing organically with minimal advertising spend, and Jonathan believes that there is still considerable growth to be had in the UK market in spite of challenging market conditions. "There's a lot more of the market to convert yet, so we can continue to concentrate on our core business and grow organically. We've also seen more new SME registrations during the recession than before, so I think this is only the beginning of the trend."
