Toronto, Canada - GAO Comm has announced the release of its portable optical talk set which is commonly used in the maintenance of optical fiber communication networks and optical fiber for CATV. It can also be used as optical laser source. It uses advanced technology that allows for high speech quality, the ability to communicate over long distances and the ability to communicate during severe weather conditions.
This portable optical talk set, model 5B, operates over a wavelength range from 800nm to 1700nm and has calibrated basic wavelengths of 1310nm and 1550nm. It features a three-way calling function, low volume warning function, automatic power-off function and long-short communication switchover to adapt to different locations. This device can carry out full-duplex communication with high quality connection and is compatible with FC, ST, SC adapters.
