Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has launched its high-performance laser source for optical network installation, trouble shooting and maintenance in fiber optic systems. It is widely used for LAN, WAN, CATV and long-distance optical networks.

This handheld laser source, model C0220001, features a compact size, low voltage warning, automatic power off, energy-saving design and simple push-button operation. It provides a stable laser signal at various wavelengths and also features high stability in output power.

Paired together with optical power meter; it can be used to distinguish fibers, accurately measure fiber signal loss, check continuity and help to evaluate the transfer quality of fiber transmission. Thelaser source has a number of wavelength configuration options.

Multiple adapters are available for all common connector types including FC, SC and ST. The laser source offers an LED status indicator for output wavelength display. In addition, it is powered by 9 V/160 mAh NI-MH rechargeable battery or 9 V dry battery allowing for 4 hours of continuous operation.

This handheld laser source belongs to GAO's family of Light Source.
