Hi-Tech Home is Honored with 2010 Mark of Excellence Award

CEA’s Mark of Excellence Awards honored the Hilarides Theater, a custom home theater built by Hi-Tech Home, for outstanding achievement and innovation in trend setting custom home electronics

Clovis, CA, April 01, 2010 (PressReleasePoint) -- The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA®) announced today that Hi-Tech Home has won a 2010 Mark of Excellence Award, presented by CEA’s TechHome Division. CEA’s Mark of Excellence Awards honored the Hilarides Theater, a custom home theater built by Hi-Tech Home, for outstanding achievement and innovation in trend setting custom home electronics. Award entries were reviewed by a panel of industry experts and submitted in two categories: Supplier and Systems Integrators.

Rob and Jeannie Hilarides of Fresno, California contracted Hi-Tech Home to design a dedicated theater as part of a new home they were building. The couple wanted a western theme to go along with the rest of the home audio/video system. The result exceeded expectations.

“Working with Hi-Tech Home’s team for the design and installation of our theater has been a great experience,” stated Rob and Jeannie Hilarides. “Their workmanship and service are outstanding.”

Jay Cobb, president of Hi-Tech Home, and his team are proud of both the Hilarides Theater and the ensuing award, which marks the second consecutive year the company has received the national award from the CEA. “Being selected for this award among a group of very talented companies across the country in home technology is a tremendous honor,” said Cobb. “We’re grateful for the recognition, and for what it means for our company, our customers and our community.”

Hi-Tech Home’s Hilarides Theater entry was recognized at the Mark of Excellence Awards Reception this evening during the eleventh annual Electronic House Expo(EHX) Spring 2010.

Each year manufacturers, distributors and systems integrators enter to compete in award categories for this coveted honor. Each of the TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards categories has a four-member judging team comprised of systems integrators, manufacturers, members of the trade press and industry consultants to determine both finalists and winners.
