Boca oceanfront condo rolls out the red carpet for The Kleiers, stars of HGTV’s “Selling New York” and authors of new “Hot Property” novel.

BOCA RATON, Florida, United States, December 5, 2011 - (PressReleasePoint) -
OneThousandOcean, one of the hot properties mentioned in the new novel “Hot Property” by Michele, Samantha and Sabrina Kleier, recently hosted a book signing for the dynamic, mother-and-daughters real estate trio.

The Kleiers of Gumley Haft Kleier, who rose to stardom in their roles as successful Manhattan real estate brokers on HGTV’s highly rated reality series “Selling New York,” also featured OneThousandOcean in two separate episodes of the show – first, when the Boca Raton condominium was under construction, and then after it was completed.

“We were thrilled to welcome back the Kleiers to OneThousandOcean. The evening attracted our residents, prospective purchasers, and top local real estate sales professionals,” said Jamie Telchin, president of development for LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels. An LXR affiliate developed the trophy Ocean-to-Intracoastal building, which is located at the Boca Raton Inlet and adjacent to the grounds of the world-class Boca Raton Resort & Club’s Beach Club.

Nearly 200 guests sipped cocktails and nibbled hors d’oeuvres as they mingled with the Kleiers, raved about the venue (an 8,770-square-foot penthouse) and received a complimentary, signed copy of “Hot Property,” which was published this fall by Harper Collins. Having brokered the sale of countless luxury properties for some of New York’s richest, most powerful and celebrated residents, the Kleiers were ideally positioned to write a book that takes readers, though fictitiously, into the homes and lives of some of these wealthy buyers and sellers.

“Many people are scaling down in New York by selling their town houses and big apartments, and they want a place to go to in the winter,” noted Michele Kleier.  “What’s a more beautiful destination than Boca Raton? We’ve vacationed in Boca for years and refer to it as the southern Manhattan or the sixth borough of New York. It’s an easy flight, and there are fabulous beaches, restaurants, shopping and theaters. A lot of people have family and close friends there, so it’s just a great spot for Northeasterners to own a vacation property.”

Commenting further, Kleier said, “We mentioned One Thousand Ocean in our book and showed it on ‘Selling New York’ because it is on a par with a lot of luxurious New York buildings, only it is surrounded by water and you literally feel like you are sitting on the ocean! It has the most spectacular views I have ever seen and I think the finishes are amazing. Plus, where up north do you have a plunge pool or an outdoor kitchen right on your very own terrace?”

Prices at OneThousandOcean are from approximately $3 million to $15 million. Residences average 4,000 square feet under air, with terraces averaging approximately 1,200 square feet. Penthouses are even larger, spanning from approximately 5,600 to 8,700 square feet of air-conditioned living space, with expansive outdoor terraces that add approximately 3,600 to 4,500 square feet respectively.

The building is currently 77% sold, with only 12 of 52 residences available. The majority of remaining units are move-in-ready Residences and two-story Beach Villas. Penthouses are the exception, as they can be completely customized to a buyer’s liking. (Penthouse 3 represented the highest priced new oceanfront condo sale to date in 2011 in Palm Beach Count, fetching $10.4 million, or $1,505 per sellable square foot.)
