This Cisco compatible transceiver used with both Gigabit Ethernet 1.25Gbps full-duplex links with an optical link budget of 30dB and fiber channel 1Gbps and 2Gbps full-duplex links.

Toronto, Canada – GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has released its Cisco compatible transceiver operating at wavelength of 1590nm. The hot-swappable input and output device plugs into a GBIC port of a Cisco switch or router linking the port with the fiber optic networks. It can be used with a variety of Cisco switches, routers and optical transport devices.
This Cisco compatible is used with both Gigabit Ethernet 1.25Gbps full-duplex links with an optical link budget of 30dB and fiber channel 1Gbps and 2Gbps full-duplex links. The IEEE802.3z compliant transceiver offers a standard GBIC interface and a dual LC/PC connector for network connection. It has both a transmitter and a receiver which are combined through the same circuitry within a single housing.
