A new project of a fertilizer company is demonstrating the transformation of household waste disposal into organic fertiliser, such as Ativit.

February 9, 2012 - (PressReleasePoint) -A new project is demonstrating the transformation of household waste disposal into organic fertiliser. It may not meet the level of products like Activit, but has enough potential. Household waste disposal can be turned into a money making or money- saving and employment creating business.

A specialist who started with this project is indicating that the composting facilities which were set up help to reduce the garbage that needs to be disposed at a dumping site which is very costly. The new composting project is also providing employment and opportunity to the local residents. There are part time workers responsible for collecting the garbage from every house for six days in the week. These workers load the kitchen and other wastes into large buckets which are well sealed. The garbage collectors are totalling 70 at the moment.

The raw garbage which has been collected and brought to the processing facility, passes trough a so called pressing machine. This machine removes excess moisture. The raw compost is then mixed with other ingredients as coco peat or coir dust. The result is a very friable and excellent material for enriching the soil for planting. So this facility in fact has been turned into a modern and green fertilizer company based on household waste.
