How to improve harden face gear's strength through blasting process in gear units,gear reducer, gearmotors, gear reduction units
Now, for high load capacity, many gears are manufactured by using low carbon alloy steel carburized and quenched. After those process, gear face is harden to nearly HRC 56-62, but quenching process make some tensile stress.
Those tensile stress will damage the strength of gear root after ground gear, it is why some gears are easy to broken even there is no load.
The solution for above problem is to adopt the blasting technology to change gear's surface stress status.
After quenching, arrange a blasting process for gear to generate press stress for gear surface, so after gear grinding these press stress will balance some tensile press to keep high strength for gear root.
According to the experience of Donly transmission, Adopting good blasting material, size, speed, direction and time for blasting process can strengthen gear strength nearly 30%.
