There were more than 1,300 federal and state tax code changes in the past year alone. Keeping up with them can be a daunting task. For those who want to know how these changes impact their lives and the lives of others, H&R Block has announced that annual enrollment for its Income Tax Course is now open.
This course teaches how to prepare taxes like a professional and is helpful for people who want to better understand their own taxes. Students can learn something new and could potentially earn extra income.
H&R Block not only has expertise in tax return preparation, but also the ability to make taxes easy to understand and applicable to the needs of individual taxpayers. These are among the topics covered in the Income Tax Course curriculum:
The course offers a unique blended-learning approach for students. It combines face-to-face classroom instruction from experienced tax professionals with self-study learning and activities. Self-study learning is a self-paced study experience combining guided study with online learning that is accessed through a personal (or other reliable) internet connection. This innovative approach provides students with the best features of both classroom and online instruction in a flexible and convenient learning environment. At some locations, bilingual classes are taught in English and the instructor, or assistant, will be able to answer questions in Spanish as needed. Textbooks will be provided in both English and Spanish and course exams will be offered in a bilingual format. Graduates receive H&R Block certification, a certificate of completion and qualifying education hours.
Enrollment in, or completion of, the H&R Block Income Tax Course is neither an offer nor a guarantee of employment. Additional qualifications may be required. Enrollment restrictions apply. Book or other fees may also apply. The Income Tax Course is not intended for, nor open to any persons who are either currently employed by or seeking employment with any professional tax preparation company or organization other than H&R Block. State restrictions may apply. Additional training may be required in MD and other states. Void where prohibited. H&R Block is an equal opportunity employer.
