The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will recognize the Yosemite/Mariposa County Tourism Bureau (YMCTB) and ASTONE with a Gold Adrian Award for advertising excellence for its winning entry in the 54th annual Adrian Awards Competition, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally.

New York, NY, November 10, 2010 (PressReleasePoint) -- The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will recognize the Yosemite/Mariposa County Tourism Bureau (YMCTB) and ASTONE with a Gold Adrian Award for advertising excellence for its winning entry in the 54th annual Adrian Awards Competition, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally.

HSMAI will pay tribute to the Yosemite/Mariposa County Tourism Bureau and ASTONE during the annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives, on January 31, 2011, at the New York Marriott Marquis.

The Yosemite & Mariposa County Vacation Planner (visitor guide) is deemed as the primary fulfillment and marketing piece for the Yosemite/Mariposa County Tourism Bureau. The 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" vacation planner consists of 56 pages, strategically highlighting the year-round destination and its lodging, activities, meeting facilities, dining, arts and entertainment, gateways and transportation recommendations. The vacation planner gives an inside perspective for booking one's next vacation to Destination Yosemite/Mariposa, as it's written in first-person from a “past visitor.”

“Our county set out to create a truly unique vacation planner that portrays the history, beauty and offerings that our world-class destination provides, all while giving the reader an experience to ultimately plan their trip to Mariposa County, home of Yosemite," said Jeffrey Hentz, executive director of the Yosemite/Mariposa Tourism Bureau. “Being recognized by HSMAI for this award is truly an honor and we're grateful for our destination to be featured.”

This year’s contest attracted nearly 1,100 entries from around the world, with entries judged by top executives from all sectors of the industry. “The quality of the entries submitted in this year’s HSMAI Adrian Awards competition was truly outstanding,” said Fran Brasseux, HSMAI executive vice president. “This year’s winners represent the most inspiring examples of travel advertising, public relations, and digital marketing. We look forward to sharing this great work with the industry at the Adrian Awards Gala.”

In addition to celebrating the Yosemite/Mariposa County Tourism Bureau and ASTONE’s award-winning work, the Gala and reception honors lifetime achievement and the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing.” All winning entries will be accessible in the Adrian Awards Winners Gallery online following the gala at www.adrianawards.com.
