Kamehameha Schools announces today, Thursday, that its O‘ahu business and community sites will close at 2:00 pm today. This is in addition to today’s closures of its Hawaii and Maui campuses and preschools that were announced yesterday. KS Kaua‘i education and business sites remain open as usual today.
In addition, ALL Kamehameha Schools’ education programs, business and community sites on ALL ISLANDS are CLOSED on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This includes all after-school related and weekend activities.

Parents, you should also expect to receive additional messages from your child’s educational program with specific information or instructions for your keiki. You may also call your local program directly.
KS leaders are watching storm developments continuously, so please watch for additional email messages to be sent, usually by noon, about plans for the coming days.

Kamehameha Schools announces today that all its educational programs and offices on Hawai‘i Island will be closed on both Thursday and Friday this week, in anticipation of Hurricane Iselle.
This includes the campus at Kea‘au, KS Preschools island-wide, Resource Centers in West and East Hawai‘i, and other business sites.
Kamehameha Schools educational programs and offices in Maui and Moloka‘i will also be closed on Thursday, including the campus at Pukalani, KS Preschools on both islands, and the Resource Centers in Wailuku and at the Kulana ‘Ōiwi Complex.
For Hawai‘i and Maui parents, you may also expect to receive additional messages from your child’s educational program with specific information or instructions for your keiki. You may also call your local program directly.
At this time, education programs and offices on O‘ahu and Kaua‘i are expected to be operating as usual on Thursday, except that all after-school and evening campus activities are being rescheduled. It will be decided if an early release may be warranted on Thursday for O‘ahu and Kaua‘i, and if so, student families and staff will be notified by email.
On Friday, August 8, KS’ Kapālama campus and all O‘ahu preschools will be closed. KS leaders are in regular contact with State Civil Defense, and are watching developments of both storms.
