Hyderabadi Boys become Distinguished Toastmasters
Highest Honor of Toastmasters International awarded to local residents. Harsh Singhal & Alfred Ravi Tauro become the distinguished Toastmasters from Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India., March 7, 2013 - (PressReleasePoint) – “The Distinguished Toastmaster title is given only to those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and communication skills besides employing these skills to mentor others in their self-development efforts,” said Nazimuddin Mubeen, (past) Public Relations Officer of Toastmasters of India & Sri Lanka.
Two Hyderabadi residents Mr. Harsh Singhal and Mr. Alfred Ravi Tauro have been bestowed with the most prestigious “Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award”. This honor is an accomplishment earned by less than one percent of 300000+ Toastmasters International members worldwide.
To earn the honor, a member must demonstrate excellence in public speaking in many formats, including multiple presentations, mentoring upcoming speakers and helping newly chartered clubs. To become a Distinguished Toastmaster, Harsh and Alfred individually have delivered more than 40 public presentations and over 30 leadership projects each, in their clubs and in the community.
“Both Harsh and Alfred have met all of our rigorous requirements to become Distinguished Toastmasters. I congratulate them for achieving this honor”, added Nazimuddin, also the Conference Chairman for the largest National Toastmasters Conference of India – Oration2013 (www.oration2013.com).
“Distinguished Toastmaster Award is indicative of what these Toastmasters bring to every project”, said Sunil Khunteta, Director at Oracle and member of Oracle Hyderabad Toastmasters Club. “They communicate with power & passion, give presentations at leadership conferences and during training workshops. These Toastmasters are wonderful role models for all who want to communicate clearly and concisely and wish to enhance their abilities to listen and evaluate objectively.”
Earning the Distinguished Toastmaster award typically requires five to eight years of service to the organization. Alfred started his Toastmaster’s journey six years ago in Saudi Arabia. He is the past President and current Vice President (Education) of Elan Toastmasters Club. His effort to revive and resuscitate weak Toastmaster clubs has been exemplary. He currently works as a SAP Functional Consultant in Yash Technologies, and lives with his beautiful wife Iona.
Harsh has been a Toastmaster since early 2007. He is the first person to complete his entire Distinguished Toastmaster journey in Hyderabad. He is currently the President of Madhapur Toastmasters Club, Treasurer for Hyderabad Advanced Toastmasters club and heads the expansion of the Toastmasters movement across Andhra Pradesh as a Division Governor. His contribution to the enhancement and growth of the Toastmasters movement has been very valuable. Harsh is the youngest Toastmaster of District 41 ever to take up this challenging role of Division Governor. He lives in Hyderabad with his mother.
