Hyundai Motor America (HMA) has signed on as the Official Vehicle of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) and presenting sponsor of AYSO's Soccer Kicks Tour.

The Soccer Kicks Tour is a nationwide tour designed to provide valuable training for AYSO volunteers while raising awareness of the country's premier youth soccer organization. This year, Hyundai will sponsor the AYSO Soccer Kicks Van as it visits 18 states, administering training, skill development, team information and start-up assistance to local volunteers.

"Soccer is a growing, family-oriented sport in America and Hyundai is proud to be associated with AYSO," said Robert Dutcheshen, promotions and merchandising manager for Hyundai Motor America. "AYSO is a highly positive youth organization that supports families being involved with their children."

The AYSO sponsorship is just one of the soccer-related programs supported by Hyundai Motor America. Hyundai also is a national sponsor of the Woman's World Cup and the Men's Gold Cup soccer tournaments.

"We're delighted to have Hyundai join AYSO's National Team of Sponsors," said Cathy Ferguson, AYSO chief marketing officer. "Hyundai's involvement will allow us to bring our popular Soccer Kicks Tour to AYSO members across the country. We look forward to working with Hyundai and are happy to welcome them into our AYSO family."

Established in Torrance, Calif., in 1964, AYSO offers programs to benefit children aged between 4½ and 18, including those with physical disabilities, children in economically disadvantaged communities and those wishing to play college soccer. The organization is best-known for its "everyone plays" philosophy and guarantees that each child will play at least half of every game. Currently, about 630,000 players, and more than 225,000 volunteers, are involved in AYSO programs in 46 states, plus Russia, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and American Samoa.

Hyundai Motor America, based in Fountain Valley, Calif., is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company of Korea. Hyundai cars are distributed in the United States by Hyundai Motor America and are sold and serviced through nearly 500 dealerships nationwide.
