IIC-China opens today in Xi'an with first ever live product teardowns
XI'AN, September 9, 2010– Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL) announced today the opening of the 15th International IC - China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China,http://www.english.iic-china.com) Fall Edition at the Xi'an Greenland Pico International Convention & Exhibition Center. The event, which is running until tomorrow, features four live product teardowns, in addition to various technology conferences, technical application courses, market trend forums and exhibition booths.

Global Sources analysts are scheduled to conduct the first ever live product teardowns in Xi'an this afternoon. One of these sessions involves engineers getting a chip-by-chip, technology-by-technology comparison of Apple's iPad and iRobot's APAD. The other session aims to enable engineers to see under-the-hood of the latest portable blood pressure measurement device, as analysts take a close look at the technology and components that power this hot product.
Engineers attending these activities will qualify for a lucky draw at the end of the last teardown session each day to win a Great Wall GBook or an Omron blood pressure monitor.
Conferences focus on innovative technologies
IIC-China will also host conferences on the hottest technologies in mainland China's electronics industry, including green power, networking and wireless communication, and LED applications. Speakers at these conferences include:

- Song Junde, Professor and Doctor Supervisor of Computer Engineering, BeijingUniversity of Posts and Telecommunications

Design engineers can also benefit from technical application courses run by technology vendors ADI, Micron and TriQuint.
IIC-China is also scheduled to host forums on market trends and business opportunities for purchasing managers, focusing on hot market segments of new energy generation, LED backlight and auto electronics.

Leading international technology vendors including ADI, Micron and ROHM Semiconductor are scheduled to showcase their latest solutions and products to the local engineering community at the show floor, alongside mainland China suppliers and distributors such as Lituoxin Electronicsand LSD Science & Technology. Leading passive component suppliers at Components Zone include Eyang Technology Development, King Brother PCB Technologyand RECOM.
Xi'an High-Tech Industries Development Zone, one of mainland China's five key science and technology parks, hosts a pavilion at the show.
