Saint Paul, MN, July 8, 2009- Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ Small Cap: ISNS), world leading developer of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) computer-enabled detection and traffic control technology, announced today that FORTUNE Small Business has listed Image Sensing Systems, Inc. on the annual FSB 100 list of the 100 fastest growing small public companies in America. The list appears in the July/August issue of FORTUNE Small Business, available on newsstands and at www.fsb.com.
Ken Aubrey, CEO, said, “We are pleased to receive this national recognition. We continue to develop and provide detection technologies that extend the life and enhance the productivity of transportation infrastructures worldwide. It’s an honor for all our employees and strategic partners who have contributed to our achieving this ranking.”
To compile the list, FORTUNE Small Business asked financial research firm Zacks to screen annual reports for public companies with annual revenue of less than $200 million and a stock price of more than $1. Within that group, companies were ranked based on the past three years’ earnings growth, revenue growth, and stock performance. For the first time this year, companies with losses in any of the four quarters ended on or before December 31, 2008, were excluded from the list, resulting in a list of companies that have managed to stay profitable through the recession.
