Imotions’ leading eye tracking software platform for research, Attention Tool®, has now been extended with a full integration of the leading plug and play EPOC EEG headset from EMOTIV. The combination enables researchers to conduct comprehensive in depth studies where both high quality eye tracking and EEG is needed to gain valuable insights. The Attention Tool data collection platform may also be used for EEG studies alone.

For many scientists the combination of where the eye is located at the time when a reaction happens in the brain is of high importance. Until now researchers have had to run multiple softwares and systems together, spending a lot of time to collect data and synchronise these studies. This leaves room for error, since synchronisation is of essence when measuring down to the milliseconds. iMotions’ comprehensive research platform can provide this infrastructure for the EMOTIV clients and in addition add the eye tracking and pupil data in a fast and easy export.

"iMotions’ software platform makes setting up complex EEG research studies much easier, both with- and without eye tracking. We save up to 80% of our time in the data collection process, which gives us much more time for the analysis and data crunching. Hereby we can execute even more studies and as a result produce more papers and scientific value to our University. In addition to saving time, the new integration of EEG in Attention Tool also ensures a more reliable timing of signal acquisition, direct synchronization between stimuli, responses, eye tracking and EEG. Best of all, it's all exported as one collected file!” says Thomas Zoëga Ramsøy, Neuropsychologist and PhD, Head of the Decision Neuroscience Research Group (DNRG), Department of Marketing, Copenhagen Business School.

Attention tool supports a wide range of eye tracking hardware platforms - from low-cost to high end. Researchers can now with an existing system easily include EEG measurements in their studies. As an additional benefit Attention Tool also supports EEG data collection without eye tracking. The powerful and scalable data collection platform with it's intuitive user interface and advanced study design setup also give researchers an edge in non-eye tracking research. The Attention Tool software supports still images, videos, surveys, web browsing and screen recordings.
