Independence University Offers an Array of Online Healthcare Bachelor’s Degree Programs

To help students take advantage of the opportunities emerging in the healthcare field, Independence University is offering an array of online bachelor’s degree programs in healthcare. These healthcare degree programs are offered in the fields of health services management, nursing and respiratory care.


Salt Lake City, Utah, November 9, 2011 - (PressReleasePoint) - According to the U.S. Department of Labor, 10 of the 20 fastest growing occupations in the country are related to healthcare.1To help students take advantage of the opportunities emerging in the healthcare field, Independence University is now offering an array of online bachelor’s degree programs in healthcare, for individuals looking to break into this vertical or interested in advancing their healthcare careers. The healthcare programs available at IU are:
 

  • Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management
  • Bachelor of Science Completion in Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science Completion in Respiratory Care

Because of the flexibility Independence University can offer its students, these degree programs are an ideal choice for not just recent high school graduates, but also full-time professionals looking to switch fields or earn an advanced degree in order to keep growing their career.
 
The Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management is a 38-month program structured to help arm graduates with the administrative skills necessary for managing a healthcare department.
 
The Bachelor of Science Completion in Nursing (BSN) program, available to registered nurses (RNs) only, is designed to expand their theoretical and practical knowledge and help prepare them for leadership roles in a healthcare environment.
 
This RN-to-BSN program can be completed over 24 months at Independence University and focuses on providing graduates the skills they need to compete for diverse nursing roles such as clinical nurse specialists, critical care nurses, acute care nurses, and more.
 
The third healthcare degree—Bachelor of Science Completion in Respiratory Care—is aimed at practicing respiratory therapists who are interested in advancing professionally by enhancing their education. To enroll in this program, a student must have a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license. Students may be able to graduate from this program in 22 months.
