Research from Leading Industry Analyst Firm References Responsys’ ‘Compelling Vision’ of Marketing Orchestration

San Bruno, Calif. – December 16, 2013 – Responsys, Inc. (NASDAQ:MKTG), a marketing cloud software and services leader, was named in Forrester Research Inc.’s latest report, “The Rise of the Customer Life-Cycle Marketing Systems.” The December 2013 report, by Cory Munchbach, with David M. Cooperstein and Alexandra Hayes, features Responsys as a provider in the “customer life-cycle marketing systems” (CLCMS) landscape and acknowledges the company’s “compelling vision” of marketing orchestration.

In the December 2013 report, Forrester notes that “Responsys has a compelling vision for where marketing – and the company – is headed: It calls it ‘marketing orchestration.’ Forrester also noted, “Clients hold the company in high regard as a partner and are enthusiastic about where the company is taking the platform.”

The Rise of the Customer Life-Cycle Marketing Systems" report profiled 12 leading customer life-cycle marketing vendors and addresses the fragmentation of the customer journey due to the growth of digital channels, platforms and content. In order to tackle these challenges, Forrester calls on CMOs to adopt the customer life-cycle as a guiding framework and deploy “customer life-cycle marketing systems” (CLCMS), which Forrester defines as: A central technology hub that allows marketers to manage every interaction between the company and its customers as they progress along the customer life-cycle.
