The designer has since become a champion in the revival of Thewa as a craft and has used this extensively in her collections. Other traditional Indian crafts like Kundan soon became her inspiration.

The Roopa Vohra label uses traditional Indian crafts and modern styles as the inspiration. The designer is credited with developing her own craft called Naqaashi, which is essentially gold embossed on glass.
