Informatics Launches Online Bachelor's Degree Program from Thomas University

Singapore – Informatics Global Campus (IGC), Asia's first global e-learning institution, has partnered American higher-learning institution Thomas University (TU) to offer the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) as an online distance learning programme.

Aimed at furnishing students with an alternative to traditional campus-based learning, the collaboration by IGC and TU addresses the issue of time challenges that adult learners and working professionals face. By removing the need to “go to school” through the use of information technology and Internet connectivity, learners with full-time jobs are able to save on travelling time and costs, allowing them to devote more time and effort to their studies.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) is designed to help students build a strong foundation in business and related disciplines, so as to prepare them for today's fast-paced business environment. Business ethics and the importance of appreciating cultural diversity will be taught as part of the curriculum, allowing graduates to become effective managers in a globalized business world.

1. The Diploma in Liberal Arts Studies is targeted at students who wish to further their education in U.S. colleges and universities. This programme allows students to obtain enough credits in order to gain entry into the BSBA program.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) is available as a top-up program. Candidates with suitable credentials and granted transfer credit of at least 90 credit units may be admitted directly into the final stage of a 4-year degree. Candidates without enough credits to gain entry into the final year may consider the Informatics Academy Diploma in Liberal Arts Studies program which comprises business subjects as well as liberal arts education courses.
