Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc.has rolled out its Portable ADSL2+ Tester for installation, maintenance and measurement of ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ service. Its compact size, rugged design, and simple operation make the tester an ideal solution for ADSL technicians and engineers in field use.
This advanced portable ADSL2+ tester, model A0010003, not only verifies service and connectivity to the DSLAM, the ATM switches and various ISP servers but also performs upstream and downstream performance measurements such as actual bit rates, utilized rate  line attenuation and SNR Margin (Signal to Noise Ratio).
It performs line parameter measurements, error counts, line error, modem simulation, and ping and trace testing. This powerful tester also has a built-in digital multi-meter; technicians can determine circuit quality using voltage, resistance and capacitance measurements.
This portable ADSL2+ tester has a maximum transmission distance of 6.5 km and carries out measurements immediately with a simple push of the “Auto Test” key. Test results can be uploaded, saved and printed through the embedded software which is upgradable via an integrated Ethernet or USB interface. It runs under the Windows™ CE OS allowing direct Web site browsing. In addition, this rugged tester has a jacket protector and offers auto-off functions for energy-saving.
This portable ADSL2+ tester belongs to GAO’s family of ADSL testers.
