Inter Access Closes First Half of 2011 with Profit
Continuous focus on talent, contraction turned into growth.
Hilversum, August 31, 2011 - (PressReleasePoint) - Inter Access closed the first half of 2011 with a profit. According to the company, the recovery of the ICT services market fell short of expectations. Nevertheless, Inter Access achieved a significant improvement of results compared to the first half of 2010. In those two quarters Inter Access recorded a revenue loss.
Hans den Hartog, General Manager of Inter Access: “As expected, our turnover of 42.4 million Euros still shows a decline compared to the first half of 2010. This decline is mainly due to the fact that we divested a number of company activities in the course of 2010. In the first half of 2011, we realized an EBITA of over half a million Euros and a net profit. The profit margins are still limited, but our revenues are positive. And this is a huge step forward and makes us confident about the future. In the first half of 2011, the number of employees still dropped, in particular in the first quarter. However, the last few months the number of employees was slightly increasing. This is due to both a strong decline in staff rotation and a rise in influx of new talent.”
Den Hartog is positive about the developments: ”We are pleased to see that staff rotation has dropped dramatically and the results of our intensified recruitment efforts are very positive. In March this year, we announced that we will fully open our recruitment channel again. And successfully so, because since then the number of applicants have increased considerably and we see a growing influx of new talent. This confirms that the trust in Inter Access as a brand is clearly on the up and up. In the remaining months of 2011, we will continue our recruitment efforts undiminished. Talented and motivated professionals in our field, who are willing to contribute to the future of Inter Access, are more than welcome.”
Also commercially Inter Access recently booked a number of successes. Apart from the three year outsourcing contract of Boer&Croon’s ICT management, Inter Access closed important deals with among others: Logius, Medisch Centrum Alkmaar, Rabobank Groep ICT, Boskalis and a large number of municipalities.
Bert van Haarlem, Commercial Director at Inter Access: “We are in the middle of the completion of a process in order to further differentiate both the strategy and profile of Inter Access. We will however, focus more and more on medium-sized customers within local and central government, health care, financial services and business services. This concerns customers with a strong presence in the Netherlands. Customers that also would like to do business with an agile local service provider, know the industry and are capable of offering pragmatic solutions combined with the latest technology in the field of business operations, collaboration and client interaction.”
The differentiation and positioning of Inter Access will be completed around the third quarter of 2011.
