Inter Access tailors WebNext MidOffice Suite for MijnOverheid.nl
On 1 May 2009, the first ten Dutch municipalities will be connected to MijnOverheid.nl
Hilversum, The Hague, 21 April 2009 – ICT service provider Inter Access has tailored its WebNext MidOffice solution for electronic municipal services for the MijnOverheid.nl application. This application is an initiative from the Dutch Ministry of Internal Affairs and Relations of State and is aimed at promoting electronic services for residents. In time, residents will be offered a large number of digital government services via the websitewww.MijnOverheid.nl.
Now that Inter Access has tailored its WebNext suite to connect with MijnOverheid.nl, municipalities using WebNext do not need to take any extra measures or create connections. On 1 May 2009, the first ten Dutch WebNext users, including the municipalities of Alkmaar and Gouda, will connect their mid-office to MijnOverheid.nl. From that moment on, residents can use this portal to retrieve their own personal data from the Gemeentelijke Basisadministratie Persoonsgegevens (GBA; Municipal Personal Records), among many other things. In time, other basic registers will become available as well.
The direct connection between WebNext and MijnOverheid.nl enables municipalities to further improve their electronic services for residents. Residents who search MijnOverheid.nl for information on a specific subject and need to contact their municipality for this information, can click on a direct link to the WebNext environment of their own municipality. Thanks to the close integration with DigiD, they do not have to identify themselves again.
“Inter Access strives for continuous innovation in the area of services offered by the local authorities. This connection with MijnOverheid.nl is yet another example of this,” says Han Dieperink, CEO at Inter Access. “WebNext is now being used by 32 municipalities and is at the very forefront when it comes to technology and functionality. The solution offers municipalities an open system to develop and offer electronic services for residents and companies in an efficient, but most of all resident-friendly way.”
