‘Care for Youth’ SaaS project detects at-risk youth

Hilversum, 8 october 2010 – ICT services provider Inter Access wins the Computable Award for ‘Government ICT project of the year’. This ICT project, called ‘Zorg voor Jeugd’ (Care for Youth) was commissioned by the province of Groningen and various municipalities in the Groningen area.

‘Zorg voor Jeugd’ is a risk signalling index for provinces, municipalities and youth care agencies in the Groningen area. With this SaaS solution, agencies and institutions are able to mutually exchange information in an early stage about at-risk youths. Subsequently, it prevents organisations working at cross-purposes. An interrupted stream of information in the chain of youth care, could in practice lead to troublesome situations. Inter Access received the award for the way the company cleverly deployed IT in order to tackle a major social problem.

Inter Access emphatically aims for social innovation and ‘Care for Youth’ is a fine example of our commitment,” said  Inter Access CEO Hans den Hartog. “Inter Access developed this risk signalling index in collaboration with the municipality of Helmond and now more than 120 municipalities work with this solution. Both local and regional relief organisations can optimally collaborate, which enables them to signal risks in time.”
