Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur events to showcase cutting-edge engineering solutions and connect leaders across the energy and marine industries
JAKARTA, Indonesia, August 19, 2014 -- Intergraph® Process, Power & Marine (PP&M), the leading global provider of engineering software, has announced that its PP&M Global 2014 User Conferences series will visit Jakarta, Indonesia on 9 September and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 11 September.
Built on the theme of “Learn, Grow, Connect”, Intergraph PP&M Southeast Asia 2014 provides those working on energy and marine projects in the region with a genuine opportunity to connect with industry experts, learn about the latest engineering developments and leverage best practices from other companies.
The Intergraph PP&M 2014 conferences features a keynote presentation by experts from Intergraph’s Southeast Asian team, in conjunction with Accenture and Leica Geosystems, who will discuss digitising a large brownfield plant. A senior systems analyst from GASCO (Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd.) will present on ensuring successful information handover from CAPEX projects to operations, drawing on the company’s wealth of experience in delivering gas and hydrocarbon projects in the United Arab Emirates, and globally. Intergraph technical specialists will address issues such as the future of enterprise information management, and enterprise software solutions for the power industry.
“This is a critical time for the energy and marine industries in Southeast Asia, and our conferences will provide us with the opportunity to discuss the emerging trends that we expect to be hot buttons in the coming months and years, such as brownfield modernisation,” said Intergraph Executive Vice President of PP&M Asia-Pacific Franz Kufner, who will present an outlook for energy in the region, discussing the drivers and emerging trends, as well as customer success stories.
More than 2,000 delegates from Asia-Pacific are expected to attend the conference series, which has already visited Japan, Thailand and China, and will visit Australia and Korea in the next two weeks. After Southeast Asia, it will head to destinations in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The conferences are sponsored by Intergraph Process, Power & Marine, which has more than 30 years’ experience in providing local expertise and services to support engineering, procurement and construction companies and owner-operators executing projects and operating facilities in Asia-Pacific, delivering enhanced safety, quality, interoperability and productivity.
