organized a three day Regional Workshop on Contract Management. The objective of the workshop was to provide relevant information and guidance on contract management – from start to completion -- to specialists of implementing agencies working for the World Bank financed projects. It was attended by 50 specialists and officials from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, FYR Macedonia, and Serbia.
World Bank and ITC (ILO) experts presented key topics of contract management associated with case studies on typical issues for each stage and from different countries. The workshop facilitated exchange of knowledge and ideas with a view to improve contract enforcement and transparency. It was highlighted that contract management is an integral part of the procurement process, requiring coordination and collaboration of all stakeholders through the life of a contract.
