INTSPEI announced today the release of the beta version of Search Cloudlet - an easy-to-use Firefox add-on that inserts context-aware tag clouds into a traditional Google or Yahoo search interface to help people more efficiently navigate through their search results. This free tool is available for download fromhttp://www.getcloudlet.com

Search Cloudlet creates tag clouds for your Google or Yahoo search results, suggesting which keywords you should add to the search to narrow it in the most powerful way. Unlike existing cloud-based search tools, the Search Cloudlet offers context-aware navigation clouds. For example, for a Google blog search, Search Cloudlet builds an Author Cloud that shows which authors contributed the most to the discussions around specific topics; for a news search, it creates a Location Cloud that provides options to narrow the search to specific countries, states and sometimes even cities; for a web search, it provides a server-cloud that shows which websites contain the most important/relevant information about your subject. One more advantage of Search Cloudlet is its ease of use - just a few clicks to install the Firefox add-on, and Search Cloudlet smoothly integrates into your Google and Yahoo search results.

There are two main ways that Search Cloudlet helps users improve their search experience. First, it helps them efficiently narrow the search: a user should simply click on a cloud item (tag, author, server, etc.) to add it to the query. Second, it helps to provide a summary of all search results without even reviewing them - the cloud is located on the top of the page, so users do not even need to scroll down to learn what the resulting pages are about.

The first beta version of Search Cloudlet integrates with Firefox, Google and Yahoo. If the product receives positive feedback from end-users, INTSPEI plans to increase the number of context-specific navigation tools in Search Cloudlet, as well as, add support for Internet Explorer and integrate with Microsoft Live Search and other search engines.
