INTSPEI Sponsors Ukrainian National Students' Competition on Software and Hardware Quality Engineering

International Software & Productivity Engineering Institute (INTSPEI) announces that it has partnered with Ukrainian Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics (KhNURE) in sponsoring the Ukrainian national students' competition in software and hardware quality engineering. The competition will take place in Kharkov, Ukraine on March 5-7, 2008.

height="194"/>Nearly all technical universities in Ukraine will participate in this national competition. The competition tasks will vary, but all will be related to the quality assurance field: software verification and validation, testing of networks, computer virus analysis, methods of memory testing, test cases creation, etc.

"The level of education in Ukraine is one of the highest in the world because Ukraine has strong academic traditions which have been maintained for a long time," said professor Vladimir Hahanov, member of Program and Organization Committees. "One of these traditions involves students' competitions in different disciplines. However, the specialties related to software quality engineering are rather young in Ukraine, and this competition is aimed to motivate students to learn more. The help of IT technology leaders like INTSPEI is extremely important to us, as it shows students that the high-tech industry has noticed their achievements."

Said Dr. Anatoliy Doroshenko, INTSPEI Research director "Moreover, we are going sponsor young talented people and award the winners with INTSPEI research grants."
