The larger communication systems solutions are the more complex they get – not only concerning integration into the existing IT environment but also regarding scalability and compliance. The data volume is considerably higher compared to smaller solutions and therefore requirements of the underlying systems increase. Secondary IT compliance gets more and more important with increasing complexity. Thus the IP communication solution has not only to work like expected but also provide for statutory provisions and intra-corporate guidelines (privacy, security, confidentiality, availability, administration).

Over the past years ANDTEK has integrated its unified communications solutions within many large companies. One of the solutions is the attendant console solution “AND Desktop AC” being suitable for large customer databases and CRM systems. Beside a large variety of data sources the operators can do a quick search in distributed data sources containing hundreds and thousands of entries and have access to data immediately – either via IP phone, web browser or directly at the PC. The entire data source configuration is done centrally and can be easily modified and maintained. Neither a synchronization nor a modification of original data is necessary, since the server has direct access to the different data sources. This process guarantees up-to-date results and existing data is integrated quickly.

Since many different databases and directories are used in large environments, the attendant console solution “AND Desktop AC” includes a special search function. With this feature users can have parallel access to several data sources and can search without having to care about the origin of the data. Even data having different formats like e.g. phone numbers with/without international area codes or special characters are no problem at all – the search function translates the different data into one format. Additional functions like e.g. multilateral search are extremely helpful in case the user likes to do a quick contact search especially in large amounts of data.
