Nov 04, 2010 – Ironclad Performance Wear Corporation (ICPW), the recognized leader in high-performance task-specific gloves and apparel, today announced that over one-half million pair of award-winning KONG® gloves have been distributed in the oil & gas industry since the glove's commercial introduction in late-2008.

Over 500,000 pairs of Ironclad's KONG safety glove have been distributed in the oil and gas industry.

The KONG glove, recognized by the U.S. Department of the Interior for exceptional performance in enhancing worker hand safety, and as the 2010 New Product of the Year by Occupational Health & Safety magazine, has emerged as a benchmark for hand safety in the oil & gas industry. A recent study conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee revealed that the KONG glove line can reduce the impact force on a worker's hands by up to 91%.
