Testimony to the robust testing practices incubated by ITC Infotech
Provides insight into the broader context within which testing operates, including overall IT governance, business requirement management and quality assurance
Provides an objective insight into the maturity of an organisation’s test processes
TMMi (Testing Maturity Model integration), an independent apex industry body, has accredited the assessment method developed by ITC Infotech. ITC Infotech’s Testing methodology is at par with the latest TAMAR requirements (TAMAR Release 1.0). The accreditation enables ITC Infotech to assess IT organisations based on the TMMi Model. The assessment includes a comprehensive study of an organisation’s testing landscape to identify and define incremental steps for improvement so as to optimise the organisation's testing capabilities. The TMMi accreditation also benchmarks the test maturity of an organisation against the industry standard.
The TMMi accreditation guides organisations to define a roadmap for success and actionable plans that focus on business priorities. It leverages industry best practice accelerators to reduce cost and improve productivity. The accreditation not only aids in gaining a wider perspective within testing operations, but also helps create a sustainable roadmap for improving test process maturity.
ITC Infotech’s decision to build capabilities for TMMi assessment reflects the company’s dedication and commitment to create a robust in-house testing platform. The accreditation by TMMi was largely based on three parameters – Problem Statement, Assessment Framework and Approach and Methodology, with each parameter being a detailed set of scrutiny.
ITC Infotech initiated the accreditation process after a detailed analysis and various studies showed that key challenges in the Communication, Process, Organisation and Technology spaces, were not being detected during regular system testing.
With this new capability, ITC Infotech can provide a comprehensive feedback on the testing effectiveness of any customer organization thereby enabling them to obtain greater value from their QA initiatives. Customers can also utilize ITC Infotech in assessing their testing vendors and get objective feedback on the capability level of their vendors.
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Vijay Balasubramaniam, Head of Testing Services, ITC Infotech, said, “The Pareto approach to the issue of effective testing led us to the enhancement of our internal testing capabilities with the inclusion of the ITC Infotech-TMMi Assessment Method (ITC-TAM). With this solution in place, we have successfully been able to address organisational testing needs for all testing accounts and projects. The TMMi accreditation is testimony to a robust testing practice at ITC Infotech and we are proud to have been recognised by TMMi.”
