Jay Cobb, President of Hi-Tech Home, Celebrates Community Outreach in Fresno During Season of Giving

Leading home technology provider in the central San Joaquin Valley teams with local community-based organizations to help those in need

Fresno, CA, January 13, 2010 (PressReleasePoint) -- Hi-Tech Home, a leading home technology provider in the central San Joaquin Valley, took some time out this holiday season to give back to the Fresno area community. Jay Cobb, president of Hi-Tech Home, says the company’s efforts were not the first, nor will they be limited to the holiday season.

“The entire team at Hi-Tech Home is committed to providing residents of the Central Valley with leading home technology solutions, but we’re equally as committed to giving back to our community,” said Cobb. “We’re all proud to call this area our home and want to do what we can to improve the area’s overall quality of life – especially for those in need.”

The Hi-Tech Home team began their community giving program by pulling together as much warm clothing as they could gather and took it to the Holy Cross Center for Women in Fresno. In all, the team donated nine large bags of clothing, which was especially welcome during the cold weather in the greater Fresno area.

Additionally, Hi-Tech Home also supported a local food project which was a resounding success. The group distributed approximately 15,000 lbs. of food (over 5,000 meals) to needy families in the following communities: Corcoran, Del Rey, Exeter, Fresno, Huron, Kerman, Mendota, Orosi, Reedley, and Traver.

Hi-Tech Home also donated and installed Wii and xBox gaming systems in the Ronald McDonald House of the Central Valley, which provides a "home away from home” for families who are trying to cope with the physical, emotional and financial burdens of having a seriously ill child. The gaming systems were well-received, and according to one of the organization’s staff, they have been used nonstop since they were installed them --bringing a nice distraction to the families staying on the property.
