Before joining the Community Health & Wellness Center, Jegede worked as an academic hospitalist and assistant professor with the internal medicine/pediatrics department at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He is a former chief resident and president of the College of Human Medicine House Staff Association (a representative body of residents).
Jegede earned his medical degree at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He is completing his Master of Healthcare Administration degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this month.
The Cone Health Community Health & Wellness Center is part of Cone Health Medical Group. In fiscal 2013, Cone Health provided nearly $245 million in uncompensated care to the community.
