JITO aims to disburse education loans worth Rs. 25 crore this year. Last year it had facilitated loans worth Rs. 4 Crore.
JELP, an easy education loan scheme, was launched last year and witnessed an overwhelming response. Loans worth Rs. 4 crore were disbursed to over 199 students to help them realize their dreams of attaining higher studies in the discipline of their choice.
Education is the true pillar of progress and the most effective tool to propel a sustainable positive change in society. Education is an integral part of JITO’s mission statement and towards its promotion JITO has launched an easy education loan scheme – JITO Educational Loan Programme (JELP) to encourage Jain students to pursue higher studies.
Speaking at the launch of the second year of JELP, Shri Narendrakumar A. Baldota, CMD of Baldota Group and Chairman of JELP Committee said, JELP, an easy education loan scheme, was launched last year and witnessed an overwhelming response. Loans worth Rs. 4 crore were disbursed to over 199 students to help them realize their dreams of attaining higher studies in the discipline of their choice. During the last 6 months, JELP helped another 96 students even when the admissions were almost done. This year JITO is committed to disburse education loans worth Rs. 25 crore and this figure could touch even Rs. 50 crore the next year.
Shri Narendrakumar A. Baldota went on to elucidate the importance of education saying that there is no tool more effective than education for socio-economic empowerment. Education has the power to change lives, not only of the individual but also of his / her entire family.
Mr. Hemant Shah, President of JITO added that for all students who avail loans up to Rs.1 Lac, JITO will contribute a significant portion of the interest payment and the male students will effectively pay only 5% interest, while girls will pay only 4.5% interest.
Mr. Samit Zaveri, a JELP committee member, while elaborating the organisation’s objectives behind the scheme said, through JELP, JITO wants to not only support needy Jain students but also motivate other Jain students to aim higher and be even more ambitious about their educational career.
For this endeavour, JITO has joined hands with the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), Greater Bombay Co-operative Bank, Central Bank of India & Credila Financial Services to empower Jain students by providing education loans up to Rs. 20 Lacs for international studies and up to Rs.10 Lacs for higher education in India at a specially negotiated attractive rate of interest.

To make the process smooth and easy for the students, JITO has specially appointed Credila to assist students in filling the loan application forms and conduct bank follow-ups for timely disbursement. M/s Credila, headed by Mr. Ajay Bohra will process these loan applications on behalf of JITO.
