John Favreau Joins Hines' Multifamily Team in Firm's West Region
11/8/11
(LOS ANGELES) – Hines, the international real estate firm, announced today that John Favreau has joined the firm as Vice President in its West Region. Favreau, a 24-year multifamily development veteran, will be located in Hines’ Los Angeles project office. His focus will be to coordinate the multifamily activities throughout Southern California and the Pacific Northwest, including Utah, Oregon and Washington states, in coordination with Alan Patton, Hines’ Senior Vice President of the Multifamily Division.
“We are pleased to have John join Hines and the West Region, and are excited about leveraging the wealth of knowledge and experience he brings to the table in the local multifamily arena,” said Hines Senior Vice President Colin Shepherd.
Favreau was most recently co-founder and Principal of JRS Realty Partners, LLC – a Southern California-based developer and manager of apartment communities – where he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s development activities and growth. Prior to that, he spent 11 years with The Morgan Group, Inc. as a senior vice president. While with Morgan, Favreau was directly responsible for over $500 million in new multifamily and mixed-use developments throughout California and the Pacific Northwest. From 1986 to 1997, he was engaged in brokerage, syndication and management of various multifamily and industrial properties throughout Southern California.
Favreau holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Management from California State University. He is also a licensed California real estate broker and an active member of both the Urban Land Institute and the National Apartment Association.
