Justin Leighton Joins Tenant Rep Firm Studley
Houston, TX(June 5, 2009) - International commercial real estate services firm is pleased to announce that Justin Leighton has joined the firm’s Houston office as a corporate managing director.
“This is an exciting time at Studley,” shared Steven Biegel, executive vice president and co-branch manager of Studley’s Houston office. “With Justin joining the firm, we have elevated our intellectual capital both locally and throughout the company as well.”
A consummate tenant advocate, he will fit nicely into Studley’s proven business platform and will thrive within the firm’s entrepreneurial environment that enables so many of the firm’s advisors to succeed, Mr. Biegel added.
Mr. Leighton will work closely with Mr. Biegel and Co-branch Manager Mark Russell.
Mr. Leighton spent seven years with Cushman & Wakefield, representing tenants from an array of industries in transactions in excess of 4 million square feet. In addition to representing office tenants with new leases, lease renewals, extensions, restructures and other related assignments, Mr. Leighton has also done a considerable amount of work representing Houston-based clients with their international requirements in Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Mr. Leighton has earned his share of industry accolades. In 2005, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) honored him as “Office Broker Rising Star of the Year” for the entire Houston metro area—a coveted accolade in the region. He also received the “Emerging Broker of the Year” award from Cushman & Wakefield’s Houston office in 2005 and 2006.
He previously volunteered with an organization called Project Grad, where he mentored underprivileged high school students on how to graduate from high school and get accepted into college—a task that first generation high school graduates might not know how to accomplish.
Mr. Leighton graduated from the University of Alabama with at Bachelor of Arts in history.
