In my original email about the project indicated that Photojournale was not in a position to either purchase the rights or pay a license fee for any works. The book will be for sale through Blurb .
Blurb is an online book publisher that prints on demand , rather than doing a print run and then distributing it to book stores ( that approach is an expensive proposition for any publisher ) . Photojournale is publisher and will be designing the book.

As the publisher Photojournale needs to get direct consent from you, the copyright holder ( the photographer ) under a Rights Managed license agreement for a non exclusive, single use across all territories, for this book only and associated PR materials related directly to the book, for a period of three years . Please respond to this email with the following " I am the copyright holder of the selected works and I agree in principle to the proposed Rights managed license agreement." If you do not agree in principle please inform me immediately. I am having an agreement drafted which will formalize the agreement .

Profit and profit sharing ? In publishing through Blurb it is possible that a publisher of a book can add an additional profit based fee for selling the book. This book will sold "at cost" with no profit margin. Photojournale does not want to manage micropayments to its photographers at this point . However, if the book is successful and generates a lot of sales then I would consider asking all the photographers in the book if they would want a partake in a profit share.. The issue will that there is close to 130 images in the book , if the mark up is $ 5 or even $10 for a hardbound book that means the equal profit share per image will in the order of 0.03 and 0.06 per copy of the book sold , which is micropayments .. it would cost Photojournale a lot of time to manage.
