Keynote Speakers Announced for Project Leadership Forum

Two internationally-recognized bestselling authors and experts on leadership will be the keynote speakers at the Project Leadership Forum, set for May 13-14 at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in PA.
Art Petty, popular leadership author, management educator, two-decade experienced technology executive and a self-described zealot for project management effectiveness, kicks off the forum with a 9 a.m. keynote on May 13. His keynote,Value Creation Through Project Leadership, is guaranteed to challenge conventional thinking as he explores the link between an organization’s ability to successfully execute its core business strategy with the leadership skills and style of its project managers. An experienced senior executive and management educator bringing global marketing, sales and strategy capabilities to his clients, Petty is the author of theAlltop-listed Management Excellenceblog and popular weeklyLeadership Caffeineposts. He is co-author of the book,Practical Lessons in Leadership-A Guidebook for Aspiring and Experienced Leaders,and a frequent speaker and workshop presenter on leadership, performance and project and product management. He is founder of Strategy & Management-Innovations, LLC where he serves small and midsized firms with strategy and marketing consulting, and offers Building Better Leaders™, an on-line training and development program. Prior to forming Strategy & Management Innovations, LLC, he served a number of the world’s premier technology firms as a marketing and sales professional and senior executive. Additionally, Petty is a management educator at DePaul University, The Illinois Institute of Technology and The Academy for High Performance at McHenry County College.
The DNA of Leadershipis the focus of the keynote address by Judith Glaser, one of the most innovative and pioneering change agents and executive coaches in the consulting industry. Attendees of the presentation can learn interactively how to change their organization’s cultural DNA for improved team performance and collaboration, with lasting results. Her presentation is scheduled for 9 a.m., Friday May 14. The theme for the Project Leadership Forum is Applying Leadership to Project & Program Management
. The forum focuses on how to increase project ROI by using leadership practices to influence results and reduce failure rates. The forum will examine best practices and lessons learned from accomplished project managers through interactive sessions and actual project case studies. Participants will work closely with leadership gurus to begin creating a personal action plan to develop the leadership competencies that will make them more effective project leaders.
The Project Leadership Forum will include case studies and planning sessions with experts, making it ideal for project managers, executives, and program and portfolio managers from IT, construction, health care, consulting, manufacturing, government and other organizations using project management.
