KMJ Consulting, Inc., a transportation engineering and consulting services firm, announced today that president and owner Karen Jehanian, P.E., recently participated in a panel discussion for Drexel University College of Engineering’s Alumni Connections Program.

(KMJ), a transportation engineering and consulting services firm, announced today that president and owner Karen Jehanian, P.E., recently participated in a panel discussion for Drexel University College of Engineering’s Alumni Connections Program.  The event, titled “Diversity: The Life and Work of an Engineer” and was held at Drexel University on February, 19, 2013, during National Engineers Week (February 17 – 23) to celebrate the unique contributions of engineers and raise awareness of local engineering efforts in the community.  The program connected students with accomplished Drexel University alumni to provide insight into their careers and lives as engineers.
 
Jehanian has more than 30 years of experience in the planning, design, deployment, operation and maintenance of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), as well as experience in transportation consulting along the eastern seaboard.  She was named the 2009 Transportation Engineer of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers, Philadelphia Section.  She earned both a Masters of Business Administration degree and a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University.  Jehanian is also an active member of several other professional associations, including the Intelligent Transportation Society of New York and WTS – Advancing Women in Transportation.
