Kodak’s Scanners and Software Earn Award Winning Achievements for Leadership in Document Capture During 2009

Kodak’s document capture products achieve high marks from Buyers Laboratory, Inc., Better Buys for Business and Business Solutions magazine

Rochester, NY, February 9 -- In 2009, Kodak’s Document Imaging group continued to innovate and improve the way document capture technology drives real-world business applications. Several KODAK Products were selected for year-end recognition in respective award programs conducted by Better Buys for Business, Business Solutions magazine, and Buyers Laboratory, Inc. (BLI), cited for overall performance, ease of use and competitive pricing.

“In 2010, Kodak’s Document Imaging business will build upon our achievements, and look for more ways to help channel partners provide their customers and end users with effective tools that improve the overall efficiency of their core business applications,” said Tony Barbeau, General Manager, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Business Solutions and Services Group. “The addition of BÖWE BELL + HOWELL (BBH) products into our existing portfolio will help us provide customers with an even wider range of choices and opportunities for document capture to benefit businesses technology investments.”

Following the evaluation of hundreds of peripherals, Better Buys for Business, an independent authority on office imaging equipment, chose several KODAK Scanners in its lineup of “Editor’s Choice” selection including: the KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner, the KODAK Scan Station 500, the KODAK i1210 and KODAK i1220 Plus Series Scanners and the KODAK i730 Scanner. The Scan Station 500 was noted as “the next logical step in the evolution of compact desktop scanners.” The entire line of the BBH NGENUITY Scanners, now a part of Kodak, was also recognized by Better Buys for Business with the prestigious “Editor’s Choice” Award.

Business Solutions highlighted KODAK and BBH Scanners in its “Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Hardware” category for ‘Best Channel Vendors.’ Nominations for Kodak and BBH cited commitment to education and profit opportunities for value added resellers (VARs). Kodak also achieved ‘Best Channel Vendor’ in the “ECM and Data Capture Category,” in recognition of its channel sales development initiatives for KODAK Capture Pro Software.

Business Solutions recognized the following KODAK and BBH Scanners and Software for Best Channel Products in several categories for 2009:
