The next time you visit Surrey City Hall, the City Centre Library, or the new Civic Hotel, look up and you will see that KPU's name is now part of the Civic Plaza scene in downtown Surrey.

The initial sign was installed earlier this week on what will be the fifth campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU).

Part of the 3 Civic Plaza project that also includes the newly opened Civic Hotel, KPU Civic Plaza will be officially unveiled in January 2019.

Crews are busy fitting out the five floors that will be home to a number of programs offered by KPU's School of Business, including post-baccalaureate and graduate diplomas in Global Business Management, Green Business Management and Sustainability, Technical Management and Services, Operations Supply Chain Management and Accounting.

KPU's Continuing and Professional Development division will also offer a wide range of responsive, short-term and direct pathways to ongoing professional development and vocational growth. These will include a series of evening and weekend offerings and non-credit courses for mature learners seeking to upgrade their credentials or to embark on a new career path.

A testing and assessment centre will also be part of the new campus.

"Our fifth campus will be a hub of engagement, interaction and exploration between business, community and academia," said KPU President Dr. Alan Davis.
