The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group came back to Jammu & Kashmir with yet another pioneering initiative - ‘The Lalit Ice Hockey’.

Leh, February 8^th 2012:-The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group came back to Jammu & Kashmir with yet another pioneering initiative - ‘The Lalit Ice Hockey’. Organized today at Karzoo Ice Hockey Rink at Leh, Ladakh it was conceptualized by Dr. Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson & Managing Director, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, under Group’s initiative of Developing Destinations. The exciting match was played between Leh Team and The Lalit team.
 
The Group, through its innumerable initiatives have been promoting tourism through sports & has organized landmark events in J&K region like The Lalit Suri Drass Polo (3 years in continuation, has aided in converting battlefield to a sporting arena); Caddies Golf Tournament & The Lalit Shikarathon (the longest ever Shikara race at the Dal lake). This time, The Group has chosen Leh & is targeting the Ice Hockey as part of winter sports in the region. The mountainous region of Leh is the country's highest ice-skating rink at 3483 meters above sea level.
 
The Karzoo Ice Hockey Rink witnessed an enlivening & festive atmosphere. The match was cheered by thousands of locals. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson & Managing Director, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, said - “The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group had promised to the people of J&K that they will be back and give Leh its own unique festival. Today, we are happy to organize the Ice Hockey match here and would be hosting this every year as our annual event. It’s our emotional commitment towards the people of this beautiful region that makes us return every time.”
