LAN ECUADOR® BEGINS SERVICING DOMESTIC OPERATIONS

Quito/Guayaquil. April 6th, 2009

Today, LAN ECUADOR® begins domestic operations uniting Guayaquil and Quito, the country’s largest cities. LAN ECUADOR® offers 7 daily flights between the cities and will subsequently add the city of Cuenca and the Galapagos Islands to its schedule.

LAN ECUADOR® operates the modern Airbus A318 fleet with seating capacity for 126 passengers on domestic routes. The aircraft is equipped with the most advanced technology in the industry providing the best travel experience while maintaining the highest safety standards. "Today, we begin domestic operations, contributing to the development of our tourism industry, to the connectivity within the country and to the social and economic development of Ecuador. Our objective is to offer a new and efficient air transport alternative to the Ecuadorian passengers and cargo clients," announced Maximiliano Naranjo, LAN ECUADOR®’s General Manager.
