COLOGNE/ST.ALBANS, Germany/United Kingdom, January 26, 2012 -- LANSA and SA2 Worldsync enter a joint marketing agreement to deliver a complete industry solution for secure and continuous synchronization of product item data.

LANSA’s Product Information Management (PIM) software – Data Sync Direct – is a widely used on-boarding solution. SA2 Worldsync GmbH is a leading global provider of data synchronization and master data management services with a significant presence in more than 30 countries, including powering GS1 country data pools in various global markets. LANSA and SA2 Worldsync will combine their efforts to promote adoption of GS1 standards and the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) to improve product data quality between trading partners in the Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution, Wholesale, Foodservice and Healthcare sectors.

Connected to the GDSN, trading partners always have the latest information in their systems, and any changes made to one company's database are automatically and immediately provided to all of the other companies who do business with them. When a supplier and a customer know they are looking at the same accurate and up-to-date data, it is smoother, quicker and less expensive for them to do business together. LANSA Data Sync Direct connects one or more back-end ERP systems with the GDSN so that item data can be published in accordance with internal master data policies and GS1 standards.

Regulatory changes, legislation and consumer demand all place an increasing strain on brand owners to keep their product item data up-to-date and completely accurate. The management of multiple product attributes across multiple stock-keeping units is a heavy burden and the manual resource required to manage this activity is considerable.
