World Horse Welfare is hosting a charity polo day at Guards Polo Club this Thursday (July 10th) and is today putting out its last call to those who want tickets to this not-to-be-missed event.
Starting at noon with a drinks reception and followed by a three-course lunch, this thrilling afternoon of top class polo features the semi-final of the Phoenician Cup – a highly competitive 12-goal tournament.
During the course of the day, not forgetting the quintessentially British serving of afternoon tea, around 200 guests (among them some well-known faces across the equestrian world!) will take part in an auction that will help to raise vital funds for horses in urgent need.
Amongst the varied lots there’s a chance to bid for a relaxing break away in Spain, a luxurious trip for two at The Dubai World Cup, private box at Olympia, backstage pass for a hit West End show, tickets to the World Equestrian Games and so much more.
The charity is thrilled to announce that, this year, dual-Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Kauto Star will attend as special guest. The champion is now competing in dressage and is a wonderful example of a horse that has gone on to enjoy a second sporting career after racing.
This packed-full day is international charity, World Horse Welfare’s, key summer event and is an important opportunity to raise funds for vital rescue work and training projects in the UK and overseas.
Tickets to this event are limited but still available - get yours for £110pp now. You can also support the event through submitting a pre-bid for the auction lots – see website for more details.
