The Last Word On The Assassination is a conference and live podcast produced by the legendary John Barbour. The conference will feature leading researchers on JFK's death speaking about the President's assassination.

Fifty years have passed since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and on Friday, January 31, 2014, history will be revisited at the University of Nevada Las Vegas’ (UNLV) Hank Greenspun School of Journalism auditorium.  THE LAST WORD ON THE ASSASSINATION, a conference (and live webcast) produced by the legendary John Barbour, and featuring leading researchers on JFK’s death, will begin at 7 PM Pacific time.
 
Guest speakers will include:
•Dick Russell—co-author of They Killed Our President and author of The Man Who Knew Too Much
•Joan Mellen—author of A Farewell to Justice and professor at Temple University
•Jim Marrs—author of Crossfire, the novel that influenced Oliver Stone’s film, JFK
 
In addition to hearing from these seasoned scholars on the assassination, there will be a screening of the award-winning documentaryThe Garrison Tapes, John Barbour’s exclusive interview with the New Orleans District Attorney who led one of the most stringent investigations into JFK’s death.  The Garrison Tapes provides viewers with candid insights into the mind of Jim Garrison, the man whose name is surrounded by controversy and conspiracy.  Barbour, the film’s writer/director, will open the floor up to a question and answer session after the screening.
 
While THE LAST WORD is the perfect event for history buffs young and old, its wide-reaching approach to one of history’s most fascinating topics makes it the perfect evening for anyone who calls him-or-herself an American.  The event will take place at 7:00PM Pacific time on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Auditorium of UNLV’s Greenspun School of Journalism on Maryland Parkway.  The movie screening, lecture series, and interactive audience conversation in memoriam of one of America’s finest leaders is sure to educate and inspire generations of all ages.
