RSA, San Francisco, CA, February 22, 2013 – Layer 7 Technologies, a leading provider of API connectivity solutions for the enterprise, today announced that the company will host an API security workshop on Monday, February 25, during the RSA conference in San Francisco. Led by Layer 7 CTO Scott Morrison and Chief Architect Francois Lascelles, the workshop will help attendees learn best practices for protecting their APIs against security threats in the new hybrid enterprise.

Who:

  • Scott Morrison, CTO, Layer 7 Technologies
  • Francois Lascelles, Chief Architect, Layer 7 Technologies
  • Praveen Muppidi, IT Program Manager, Cisco
  • Eric Hibbard, CTO, Security & Privacy, Hitachi Data Systems

What:

Where:

  • Four Seasons Hotel, Muir Suite, 757 Market Street, San Francisco, CA

“Organizations now need to integrate services across internal departments, into the cloud and out to mobile devices and they’re doing so with APIs,” said Scott Morrison, CTO of Layer 7. “Exposing sensitive enterprise information via APIs, however, can create serious security concerns. We developed this workshop to empower businesses with the information they need to protect their APIs.”

Morrison and Lascelles will be joined by Praveen Muppidi from Cisco and Eric Hibbard of Hitachi Data Systems. The workshop will take place immediately following the Cloud Security Alliance Summit, which Layer 7 will sponsor.
