From June 1 to 3, 2010, the Seine-Saint-Denis departement, just north of Paris, will host the fourth edition of Dimension 3, the International Forum on stereoscopic 3D (S-3D) and new images, in the heart of the French audio-visual and new media industry main place at Pullman Dock at the Plaine Saint-Denis studios. This forum will be the most important event of the year in Europe for the 3D and image industry. A place for sharing, discovering and networking for companies who include S-3D into their development strategy but also for research labs, Dimension 3 2010 aims at being a must-attend event for engineers, producers, entrepreneurs, manufacturers and researchers on a variety of markets: cinema, TV, video games, communications, visualization, medicine, and more. This year, more than ever, the forum will provide a place to discuss the future of images.

Dimension 3 2010 offers a number of highlights for all professionals:

> 36 conferences and workshops over three days, gathering some 60 international experts from all sectors (scientists, developers, producers, artists, engineers, manufacturers, technicians, directors). Some subjects: new filming processes and broadcasting in S-3D, augmented reality, 3D visualization for medical imaging, etc.

> A 2,000+ m² exhibition area where manufacturers, publishers, contractors and producers will offer demonstrations and real-life product presentations. A special area, Dimension 3 Immersion will open its doors to visual experimentation devoted to video games, telephony and 3D marketing tools.

> A Training session, "S3D Campus," designed for an international public with the European MEDIA certification in 2010. S3D Campus training session will be held from May 24 to 28, 2010, just before the forum. This one-of-a-kind training course, organized by 12 international experts, has been developed to teach everything about the technical, artistic and financial aspects of stereoscopic 3D. In 2009, the campus gathered participants from the United States, Europe and Asia, offering sessions on S-3D, from filming to screening.

> An international film competition: The Dimension 3 Festival will bring together a large range of content. Since its first edition in 2007, the festival further continues to grow, now featuring a competition with six categories and three special prizes. The competing films will be looped in the screening auditorium during the forum, and the winners will receive Dimmy’s Gold awards during a dedicated evening event.

As the showcase for international 3D stereo production, Dimension 3 will also perpetuate its festive and educational ambition with a public festival from June 5 to 15: 3Discovery. (Partners for 2010 will include Nwave Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures).
