Learn to Foxtrot in four weeks? You can, thanks to yogahOMe’s new Ballroom Dance Program, part of yogahOMe’s new Dance @ hOMe lineup.

5 July 2011—CINCINNATI—Learn to Foxtrot in four weeks? You can, thanks to yogahOMe’s new Ballroom Dance Program, part of yogahOMe’s new Dance @ hOMe lineup.

“Yoga is all about simultaneously centering and freeing your mind and body. What could be more liberating than dancing?” said owner Katy Knowles. “This is a great opportunity to learn how to gracefully flow with a partner around a dance floor.”

This first workshop, taught by area dance instructor Kate Stark, will teach students fundamentals of ballroom that are applicable to all styles of dancing from the Waltz to the Cha Cha. These skills will be taught using the Foxtrot as a template, so that students immediately see progress and are able to successfully maneuver around a dance floor independently of their teacher’s instruction.

“This class is ideal for anyone who wants to learn to dance. The Foxtrot isn’t as stuffy as it might sound. It’s really a dance you can use to fit any occasion by modifying the steps to fit your own style,” said instructor Kate Stark. “Learning to dance doesn’t have to be about being perfect. It’s more about allowing yourself the option to dance when you want to, without the fear of looking silly out on the dance floor.”

Classes with be held at yogahOMe’s Oakley studio on Brotherton Rd. Saturday evenings beginning July 9, 2011 and continuing through August 6, 2011.
